Handheld GPS for hunting, fishing and snowmobile?
I own a Garmin and would recommend it over any of the others you list. Mine is used in my truck so I cannot answer about locating trails and marking cabin locations, but mine can mark any location I tell it to, and get me there from any other location.I highly recommend the Garmin. I have the Garmin Summit HC and out of the 3 GPS's that I owned before this is the best I have used. A lot of research went into my decision to on which GPS to buy. The Garmin rated higher and was the easiest to use out of any other brand on the market. You will be able to go and not have a worry in the world on where you are at, or how to get back to where you started from. You can shoot a deer late in the day and track it after dark, use the GPS to mark it's location, get back to your stand , go back to your 4-wheeler and retrieve your deer, all in the dark. You can walk a hundred circles in the woods and use the backtrack feature to retrace every foot step that you took.Or walk a straight line back to your starting point. This is the single most important tool I have ever used in the woods.Find a good spot to hunt? Find 20 different spots to hunt? Just mark them and you can go to any one of them when you wish to. The Garmin Summit HC comes with a base map of the road systems and you can download others into it if you wish. One word of caution- learn to use it before going into the woods with it.If you neglect to properly mark your starting point as I did when I first started using one years ago, you are going to be one lost puppy. In 8 years of using one I have never had a single failure. Even so, I still carry a compass for an emergency back up. I would suggest you do the same. By using this one product I have doubled my deer kill. You can cover so much more ground when you don't have to worry about finding your way back. And you can mark 20 times more potential stand spots with one then you can without one.Get one. It will increase your enjoyment of the outdoors tremendously.Garmin is what i use. You can waypoint your truck, go hunting for the day. hit the truck waypoint and it will point you in the right direction.

The one I have is the Rino 530HCX GMRS/FRS/GPS it also has a barometer, altimeter, electronic compass, NOAA weather radio receiver, hunt/fish calendar, sun and moon information, area calculation and a geocaching mode. It does cost to download from mapsource but there are some free online if you surf around.
And yes you can mark a bunch of places. Mine has 500 way points, 50 routes and a track back feature. I use it for trapping and no matter how the snow covers my traps I can find every one.GPS technology has expanded over a few years.
